On Neurodivergence & the Human Blueprint: Origin Lines of SATORI EARTH
Updated: Sep 28
Before SATORI EARTH had its present name, physical home or form, much of its philosophical foundation was already taking shape.
In October 2023 and March 2024, I wrote two reflections exploring neurodivergence, education, health, self-connection and what I had begun referring to as the human blueprint.
At the time, these inquiries sat within my work through Nic Anderson Earth and CCALFA — Co Create Art Learning Foundation Australia — the organisation that would eventually evolve into SATORI EARTH.
Reading these words again in September 2026, as SATORI EARTH’s Founder & Custodian, their lineage is much clearer.
The language has evolved. The work has deepened. And I have considerably more to explore around neurodivergence — particularly the increasing tendency to locate difference, difficulty or dysfunction solely within an individual, without sufficiently examining the environments, expectations and systems within which that individual is attempting to function.
But the fundamental inquiry running through these early writings remains:
What happens when we begin with the human being rather than the system?

“Neurodivergence is an evolutionary response to a harsh, conformist culture that has normalised prolonged hyper-vigilance and hyper-production for centuries.
When neurodivergence becomes so common and widespread, perhaps we should stop treating it as something wrong with the child, and instead start re-examining an outdated educational system that is incompatible with — and unresponsive to — our natural wiring as human beings.
It is our nature to be diverse, creative, robust, social multi-dimensional beings. We are not machines; we are human beings.
Normalised conformity in learning environments and culture is outdated, non-responsive, irresponsible, and has done enough damage.
On the level of sustainability as a species, we need new, more sustainable systems — systems designed to respond to and optimise our natural blueprint.”

“Our existing systems in education and health are missing the heart — and the Soul’s fundamental needs — in their working model.
There is a call for a new way of Being. A paradigm shift that heralds the emergence of new, sustainable, holistic systems that recognise and respect the human being’s original blueprint.
These new systems must be anchored in self-connection — as opposed to the historical models that have normalised self-disconnection, prolonged hyper-vigilance, and hyper-production.
Isolated cases of ill-health do not necessarily point to systemic issues. Yet the global burnout, and the widespread mental, physical, financial ill-health we now face, clearly point to a tampering with our natural blueprint.”
— Nic Anderson, 25 March 2024

From inquiry into form
Looking back now, I can see how much of what would eventually become SATORI EARTH was already contained within these early reflections.
The questions remain much the same.
What happens when we recognise diversity, creativity, sensitivity, relationship and individual nature not as inconveniences to be managed, but as fundamental aspects of being human?
What might our systems of learning, health, community and culture look like if they were designed around the human blueprint — rather than asking human beings to continually override it in order to conform to unspoken expectations around behaviour, productivity and success?
And what becomes possible when self-connection is not treated as an optional extra, but as a foundation from which learning, creativity, relationship and human development can emerge?
These questions have continued through my work with children and young people, mentoring, art and creativity, the Soul Blueprint, embodiment, nervous-system awareness, and my continuing exploration of the systems and cultures we create around ourselves.
They have also travelled through the evolution of CCALFA into SATORI EARTH.
Today, SATORI EARTH is one expression of that inquiry becoming lived practice.
It has a physical home on the Sunshine Coast hinterland, where land, creativity, learning, mentoring, collaboration and community can intersect. But the work itself is not confined to the land.
It continues through the people, conversations, collaborations and creative work that move through and beyond it.
The inquiry continues.
The difference is that it now has somewhere to live.
