SATORI EARTH
Five carefully selected residents share in the care, culture and evolution of SATORI EARTH.
Stewardship is the culture.
Residency is the arrangement.
Residency is offered by Invitation or Application and is limited to a maximum of five resident parties at any one time. Applications begin with a simple Expression of Interest.
The Vision
SATORI EARTH has a clear vision.
At its core, SATORI EARTH explores what becomes possible when human beings live in greater alignment with their natural blueprint.
This exploration extends into many areas of life — including how we relate to ourselves, how we raise children, how we learn, create, work, earn a living, care for our health and well-being, and extends to how we live in relationship with others and the natural world.
Part of this vision will naturally challenge existing systems and conventional ways of living where those systems are no longer sustainable.
SATORI EARTH is not built upon a fixed ideology or dogma. It is an ongoing exploration of more sustainable ways of living, learning, creating, working and belonging.
People will arrive with different experiences, perspectives and beliefs. What matters is a genuine resonance with SATORI EARTH's broader vision, values and direction.
If this vision feels aligned and meaningful to you, you may be a suitable candidate for residency at SATORI EARTH.
Relationship with Place
Residency and collaboration are separate pathways within SATORI EARTH. Collaborators do not need to be residents, and residents do not need to be collaborators.
Residing on SATORI EARTH is more than simply occupying a site or paying rent.
It is a relationship.
A relationship with the land.
A relationship with the vision.
A relationship with the culture being cultivated here.
Each resident maintains their own independence, privacy, accommodation and personal responsibilities.
Residency is supported by a clear written agreement that outlines the practical arrangements, expectations and parameters of living on the land.
The purpose of residency is not to create obligation, dependency or conformity.
Rather, it is to create the conditions for people to live in a way that feels more aligned, sustainable and connected — both to themselves and to the wider environment in which they live.
Stewardship
Residency and Stewardship together help shape the culture and environment of SATORI EARTH. Stewardship describes the energetic and physical relationship a resident has with the land and the broader purpose of SATORI EARTH.
Expressed simply, SATORI EARTH is not seeking residents who simply pay rent and have no relationship with the land, its culture, or its ongoing evolution.
That relationship will look different for every resident.
Every individual arrives with different gifts, skills, interests, life experiences, capacities and circumstances.
There is no single model. Here are examples of what's possible:
Skill or Practical Contribution
A resident who works professionally in gardening, maintenance, landscaping, administration or another practical field may choose to contribute those skills to the care of SATORI EARTH as part of an individually negotiated residency arrangement. In some circumstances, practical contributions may form part of a broader residency agreement.
Artist or Collaborator in Residence
An artist, educator, therapist or practitioner may simply contribute through their presence as one of the creative residents living on the land, or may choose to access studio spaces, offer workshops, or become involved in the broader SATORI EARTH faculty of collaborators.
Retirees (Modern Day Elders) and Presence
A retiree or elder may contribute through participation in the garden, sharing knowledge, supporting community initiatives, attending events at a subsidized rate, or simply through respectful living and genuine care for place.
Some residents may participate actively.
Others may contribute simply through their presence, respect for place, and alignment with the culture of the land.
Both forms of contribution are valued.
Any specific residency, stewardship, venue use, collaboration or exchange arrangements are discussed individually and documented clearly in writing prior to commencement.
There is no single model of residency at SATORI EARTH. Each arrangement is shaped through conversation, mutual suitability, and a shared commitment to the broader vision of the land.
We are not here to force ourselves into systems that ignore our design.

The intention is not that everyone thinks the same.
The intention is that people can live authentically and alongside one another with respect, maturity and goodwill.
Accomodation Options
SATORI EARTH currently offers a limited number of residential spaces, including a self-contained flat and some powered sites suitable for a tiny house, caravan or similar dwelling.
The intention is not to maximise occupancy, but to maintain a peaceful, functional and low-density environment.
Each resident has their own private accommodation and defined space. Access to water, power and shared facilities is discussed individually depending on the accommodation type.
Rent, utilities, stewardship contributions and occupancy arrangements are discussed and agreed in writing prior to commencement.
The intention is clarity, fairness and mutual understanding from the outset — creating an arrangement that works well for both the resident and the broader SATORI EARTH community.
