Residency & Stewardship

Expression of Interest

Living in honour of our natural design

SATORI EARTH is more than a place to live.

It is a living exploration of what becomes possible when we honour our natural design — through healthy relationships with ourselves, one another, and the land.

Residency is offered through a standard residential tenancy agreement.

Stewardship is the opportunity as resident to contribute to the culture of SATORI EARTH through your own unique gifts, values and way of being.

Some Resident-Stewards simply enjoy living in alignment with the vision.

Others may become artists, land stewards, workshop facilitators or collaborators.

If this resonates with you, we invite you to complete the Expression of Interest below.

Residency

Residency is straightforward.

Residents enter into a standard tenancy or site licence agreement, pay rent and bond, and have their own private home and space.

Residency at SATORI EARTH is intentionally limited to five residential spaces:

  • one self-contained two-bedroom flat

  • one tiny house site

  • up to three caravan, pod or movable dwelling site

This is not a caravan park, commune, or open community. It is a small residential environment connected by shared values, privacy, sovereignty, reciprocity and respect.

Stewardship

Stewardship is the cultural layer of SATORI EARTH.

It is not compulsory work hours.

It is the way each Resident-Steward contributes through their own values, gifts, interests and presence.

For one person, stewardship may mean mowing and land care.

For another, it may mean creating art in the studios.

For another, it may mean quietly living in alignment with the vision.

For another, it may mean facilitating workshops or becoming a SATORI EARTH collaborator.

There is no single model.

Value Exchange

One of SATORI EARTH's core principles is healthy reciprocity.

Where appropriate, Resident-Stewards may choose to contribute to the stewardship of the land or wider SATORI EARTH community through a mutually agreed value exchange.

This is never an expectation of unpaid labour. Any value exchange is discussed openly, agreed by both parties, and reflected appropriately within the residency arrangement.

Examples may include land care, mowing, maintaining shared gardens, assisting with workshops or events, creative contributions, or other skills a Resident-Steward naturally brings to the community.

Not every Resident-Steward will have a value exchange arrangement. Every residency is considered individually.

Shared Spaces

Resident-Stewards may have access to shared spaces, including:

  • the enclosed vegetable garden

  • the open acreage

  • Studio 1

  • Studio 2

These spaces are offered in the spirit and fundamental principle of reciprocity.

Residents who actively participate in the food garden may share in its seasonal harvest.

Resident-Stewards may also choose to assist with workshops, attend selected SATORI EARTH offerings at a resident discount, or contribute to the evolving culture of the land in ways that are natural and sustainable.

Current Opportunities

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from:

Resident Land Steward

Someone interested in mowing, grounds care and general land stewardship as part of a mutually beneficial residency arrangement.

For example, part of a weekly rental payment may be offset through an agreed value exchange for ongoing land care and maintenance.

Resident Artist

A practising artist or creative seeking a peaceful place to live, create and contribute to the creative culture of SATORI EARTH.

A Resident Artist may simply enjoy living within the culture and creating independently.

Others may choose to hire studio space at resident rates, become a SATORI EARTH Collaborator, or facilitate workshops through either a venue hire or revenue-sharing arrangement.

Aligned Resident-Steward

Someone who simply resonates with the vision and wishes to live in a respectful, grounded and values-aligned environment.

Their stewardship may be expressed through their presence alone, or through participation in shared spaces such as the vegetable garden, community projects or other aspects of life on the land.

Resident Benefits

Resident-Stewards may also enjoy:

  • access to the shared vegetable garden and seasonal harvest

  • access to shared creative spaces

  • the opportunity to participate in the evolving culture of SATORI EARTH

  • 50% discounted attendance at SATORI EARTH workshops and events

  • opportunities to become a SATORI EARTH Collaborator where appropriate

Taking the Next Step

Every Resident-Steward will bring something different.

Some may simply be looking for a peaceful place to call home.

Others may be artists, gardeners, facilitators, professionals, or people seeking to live in closer relationship with nature and a values-aligned community.

If SATORI EARTH feels like it may be the right fit for you, we'd love to hear from you.

Complete the Expression of Interest/ Application Form below and tell us a little about yourself. If there appears to be a good mutual alignment, we'll arrange a conversation and an opportunity for you to visit the property.
